"A few matter of fact statements concerning the Solid Little City of the Cucharas Valley, with a brief description of the surrounding country." Promotional work for La Veta, Colorado, located due south of Denver, about thirty-five miles north of the New Mexico border. La Veta "is a live, wide-awake town, with four churches, a handsome school building, one drug store, one millinery store, a ladies' tailoring establishment...an opera house, a lumber yard, three physicians and one dentist." All this and more in this growing town of five hundred folk. (Present-day La Veta boasts a similar population.) One copy in OCLC, at History Colorado.
