Alfonso Garcia Tellez is an important, Otomi Mexican book artist, whose work in the 1970s and 1980s brought traditions of Mesoamerican papermaking and mysticism into new light. The present work is one of a series of five books by Tellez, which he produced individually in multiple but unique copies over a period of several years. Each work is handmade by Tellez on amate paper with individual cutout illustrations and manuscript text. The present title translates as "History of a Dwelling Requiring an Offering to Saint Tecuil".
