Sale of Segregated Coal Lands at Public Auction by Government. List of Lands in Latimer Country Choctaw Nation, Oklahoma [cover title]
[Oklahoma: 1914]. 35pp. Original printed self-wrappers, stapled. First two leaves detached and chipped, not affecting text. Tanned, and brittle. Good. Item #6404
An apparently unrecorded Oklahoma imprint advertising the auction of 347 tracts of coal lands on the Choctaw reservation in Latimer County. The first two pages lay out the terms and condition of the sale, which was scheduled for November 23 and 24, 1914. Of note, all winning bidders would attain access to the surface of each plot, but mineral rights were to be retained by the Choctaw Nation. The remaining text presents details on the land tracts in table form, listing tract numbers, a description of each tract, the acreage of each, whether farming or grazing is permissible, an appraisal, and the minimum price. Not in OCLC.
Price: $1,250.00
