A distillation manual designed to bring the arts and sciences of France to the New World. The work opens with the tools of the distiller, moving on to the colors of different alcohols, their compositions and smells, information on filtration and clarification, and more. Recipes for different liqueurs follow. The work closes with recipes and information on the mixing of toiletries, powders, and pastes for personal uses. We find no copies in OCLC, though one record at the Bibliotheque Nationale would seem to conform to this volume's details, but is dated 1820, possibly a cataloguing typo. A wonderful little Spanish-language volume designed for use in the New World.
