Catecismo de Agricultura

Londres: Por R. Ackermann, 1824. ,iv,101,[3]pp. plus frontispiece folding plate and engraved title page. 12mo. Contemporary quarter calf and paper boards. Moderate rubbing and wear to boards. Some toning and scattered dampstaining internally. Good. Item #6170

A scarce Spanish-language London imprint concerning basic agriculture, produced for the Ackermann family of publishers. During the mid-1820s, the elder Ackermann sent his son George to Mexico to establish branches of their bookselling concern across Hispanophone America, and produced a number of books in Spanish for the project. The present text is in fact written entirely in the question-and-answer form of a catechism, with twenty chapters on different types of farm plants. The folding frontispiece comprises several schematics of a "pajar perfeccionado" -- a perfected hayloft design. Not in OCLC.
