A detailed, 1930s report about women in the Mexican labor force. The commission that authored this work was charged with the investigation of working conditions of female and minor workers. This account focuses on conditions in clothing factories, and concludes overwhelmingly that, "La mujer en Mexico, en lo que hace a la industria de costura, trabaja con salarios de hambre, que en ninguan caso le garatizan ni su salud ni un standard humano de vida." The report shows that a lot of working women don't receive the minimum wage, nor vacations or proper time off as the law prescribes, let alone decent access to trade associations, unions or any workers' rights group. The folding charts print numbers concerning the conditions and pay of many specific workshops where women were employed, as well as other relevant statistical data. OCLC locates a small handful of copies.
