First and only printing of this New Year's carrier's address issued by the Ohio Staats-Zeitung in Canton, Ohio. Kaufman & Luft ran the newspaper from about 1830. This carrier's address was issued following the end of the Civil War. The text, which is written in verse, celebrates peace, mentioning a number of well-known participants including Grant and Sherman. OCLC records one copy separately catalogued, at Brown University.
