A scarce Guadalajara imprint that comprises a series of documents relating to a church-and-state kerfuffle between the local diocese and the government over the presence of a loyalty oath in the state constitution. The council of the diocese worried that having their clerics swear loyalty to the state would force them to ignore or abjure their vows to the church, and therefore objected to the presence of the oath in the constitution. They also worry more broadly about the subjugation of church authority and finances to the power of the state should such an oath be administered to its members. OCLC locates only a small handful of copies.
