August 6, 1876, issue of this scarce Eureka, Nevada, newspaper, with reporting on the acceptance by Samuel Tilden of the 1876 Democratic presidential nomination and on the death of Samuel Rigdon, who "had almost as much to do with establishing the Mormon religion, if religion it be, as did Joseph Smith." Replete with local advertisements; with the contemporary ink stamp of a San Francisco sales agent. We locate significant runs of the paper at AAS, Yale, and Berkeley, with scattered issues at a very few additional institutions.
