Scarce promotional for the routes and grants lands published by the Chicago & Northwestern Railway during the early 1880s. The railroad operated from Chicago to St. Paul and Council Bluffs, and here advertises its services and available westward connections from those points on the Union Pacific, Northern Pacific, and several other lines. It also promotes the availability of railroad and Homestead Act lands in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, with descriptions of the agricultural prospects and natural resources of each. Two maps of the Chicago & Northwestern routes are printed on the rear wrapper.
