Scarce broadside advertisement for the magic and puppet theater of Bowman the Wizard, a performer who toured California at the turn of the 20th century. The poster promotes not only Bowman's "New Marvelous Entertainment of Magic, Mirth, & Mystery," but also his "Cabinet of Wonders," which included such displays as ""Enchanted Pyramids" and "Mysterious Production of Flowers," and several other acts of ventriloquy and mind reading. We locate copies at four institutions -- Yale, Smith College, Library of Congress, and the Autry Museum.
