"The city that sets the pace in the race for prosperity in the rice belt, takes nobody's dust and keeps her head turned always in the direction of success." A promotional work for the city of Crowley, Louisiana, located in the south-central portion of the state. The work is extensively illustrated with views of the city, as well as scenes of rice fields and a map of the state showing Crowley's location and all of the railroads that connect it to the wider world. We locate four copies in OCLC -- University of Alabama, Yale, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the Louisiana state library.
