Commemorative volume published on the occasion of the author's coronation as The Poet Laureate of Freemasonry, handsomely printed and illustrated. The work contains three poems, "Poem at Laureation," "Chicago," and "Laurel Crown That Camest to Me." Each poem begins with a gilt capital, with other Freemasonry symbols printed in gilt in the book, as well as a chromolithographic illustration of the "Jewel of 33o" presented to Hempstead by the Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Little Rock when he was crowned Poet Laureate of Freemasonry. An elaborate production. We locate six copies in OCLC.
