Attractive guide to the recently completed section of Pan-American Highway between Laredo and Mexico City, published by the Mexican National Automobile Association. Contains strip maps and descriptions of attractions and services along the route, and extensive guides to activities in Monterrey and Mexico City. The second part of the handbook describes national highway routes from Mexico City to other cities, and final few pages delineate an alternate route to Monterrey from Matamoros. With numerous, excellent pictorial and photographic advertisements. The guide was sponsored by Pemex, the Mexican national oil company, for which they received an illustrated advertisement for their "Mexolina" gasoline on the inside front cover and notations of all Pemex stations along the highways. Scarce.
