Promotional bulletin published by the Bureau of Immigration for New Mexico, touting its fine climate for farming and stock raising. “Alfalfa is the principal crop raised, producing three to four cuttings each season, yielding three to five tons of hay. … Wheat is largely raised, principally by the Mexicans. As it yields more than any other grain crop, it is used for feeding purposes quite largely.” Other crops include sugar beets, apples, rye, and grapes; sheep and goats are the main stock. Includes a section for immigrants on how to obtain title to public lands. We locate two copies in OCLC, at New Mexico State University and Princeton.
