Spanish translation and only Mexican edition of the extensive group of military studies by French general Jules Louis Lewal, first published in 1872. Lewal was a part of French forces in Mexico during the Second Intervention and later served in the Franco-Prussian War. His study is divided into twelve sections, each considering different topics, such the formation of active units, order of combat, marching, unit advances, and reconnaissance. OCLC locates only one copy, at the BNM.
