A Confederate dated issue of this scarce Texas newspaper, rich with Civil War content. It reports on apparent disarray in the in the North, with the removal of McClellan, which according to the paper, "Nearly caused a revolution among the federal troops." It also provides a long account of the involvement of Texas units at First Bull Run, and briefly notes Confederate losses in Arkansas.
