Unrecorded community cook book for the Ladies' Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in American Falls, Idaho. The preface contains a list of contributors, though individual recipes are not identified with a specific woman. In addition to the usual range of meat, cheese, soups, vegetable, bread, and dessert recipes, this work includes sections on "Canning and Drying Vegetables" and "Meat Canning Recipes." These speak to the slightly frontier nature of living in southeastern Idaho at the start of the twentieth century. At the time, American Falls was a town of about 1,000 people. Local ads are interspersed throughout. Not in OCLC.
