Fort Wayne with Might and Main. Indiana's Busiest, Happiest City

Concordia, Ks. Ralph Avery, 1910. [61]pp. Illustrated throughout. Narrow folio. Original pictorial printed wrappers, string-tied. Spine and covers chipped. Light wear and chipping to upper corner of title page, otherwise clean internally. About very good. Item #1413

An odd promotional work for the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, printed in Kansas. Other than the last four leaves, the work is entirely pictorial, providing a view of the city through half-tone vignettes of its municipal buildings, parks, churches, businesses, and residences. In addition to exteriors, there are interior views of the hotel and several other businesses. Several pages are devoted to industry in the area. The final four leaves contain a brief history of Fort Wayne, together with a lengthy list of publication subscribers. We locate fewer than ten copies in OCLC, primarily in Indiana libraries.

Price: $350.00
