Omaha: Herald Printing House, 1883. 16pp. Original blue pictorial wrappers. Light soiling and wear. Very good. Item #1302

A scarce promotional pamphlet on the dairy industry in Nebraska, providing "a sketch of the creameries of the State...to show the profitable working of the system to the manufacturer, and the demand for an increase of butter and cheese factories." Published by the Land Department of the Union Pacific Railway, this work was intended to promote the sale of lands in the state, while providing information on a number of specific dairies. It is illustrated with several handsome images of cows, as well as a view of the Nebraska Creamery in Fremont. Scarce, with copies located at the Denver Public Library and the Wisconsin Historical Society.
